Heating Controls

There are many forms of heating system controls, be it mechanical, electrical or electro mechanical.

Controls give systems safety, efficiency and user comfort.

Building Regulations require minimum standards of control over systems installed, to ensure energy efficiency is kept to minimum standards, and users have comfort control over systems.

Honeywell are the leading suppliers of domestic heating and combustion controls in the UK with products that include time, temperature, gas and water controls.

Their product range is designed to provide the homeowner with the best in comfort, energy and health solutions.

Below are some of the most commonly used Honeywell controls we install.

Time Controls

A series of matching one and two channel time controllers with independent heating and hot water control and three switching times per channel per day for up to seven days programming on some models.

The ST9000 range of programmers incorporate the Line of Text LoT display, giving clear English instructions for ease of use.

Temperature Controls

Honeywell supplies a very extensive range of thermostats, all designed to very high standards and to provide years of reliable use across a range of heating systems. From wired to wireless, analogue to digital, Honeywell have a host of products to satisfy your needs.

Wireless Temperature Controls

The biggest barrier to changing a heating system is the fact that what is installed already usually dictates what is achievable now. With wireless controls, this restriction is removed it is now easier to improve the efficiency of a heating system. They can be added to almost any system with the absolute minimum of fuss, mess and disruption.

Motorised Valves

Honeywell's range of two and three port valves is the premier valve used in the domestic central heating industry, as a flow control mechanism in domestic and light commercial heating systems. They physically act upon the requirements asked of them, through the above time and temperature electrical controls, by shutting off water flow through parts of systems.

Thermostatic Radiator Valves

Thermostats are used to control individual rooms or zones in a wet heating system. They are also effective in compensating for uncontrolled heat inputs such as solar gain and open fires. Radiator Thermostats should not normally be fitted in rooms controlled by a room thermostat. All Honeywell radiator thermostats are fully CEN compliant.

A Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV) is a self-regulating valve fitted to hot water heating system radiators.
